范文:
In modern society, the question of whether success is achieved through hard work or by luck has always been a topic of discussion. In my opinion, while luck can play a role in certain situations, I firmly believe that hard work is the fundamental factor that leads to long-term success.
First of all, hard work is the foundation of any achievement. Many successful people, such as scientists, entrepreneurs, and athletes, have spent years training and working tirelessly to reach their goals. For example, Thomas Edison conducted thousands of experiments before finally inventing the light bulb. His success was not due to chance, but rather his perseverance and effort over time.
Moreover, even when someone is lucky, that luck often results from being prepared. A person who is ready and willing to seize an opportunity is more likely to benefit from it. In other words, luck favors those who are well-prepared. This means that without hard work, one may not be able to take advantage of a fortunate situation when it arises.
However, it is also true that some people may experience sudden success due to external factors beyond their control. For instance, someone might inherit wealth or be born into a family with great resources. But these cases are rare and not sustainable. In the long run, those who rely solely on luck without effort are more likely to fail.
In conclusion, while luck can sometimes influence the path to success, it is hard work that truly determines one’s future. Only through consistent effort and dedication can a person build a stable and meaningful life. Therefore, I believe that hard work is the key to achieving lasting success.
